See one of users problem in a forum –“I have the sidekick 4g and every time I try to upload to Instagram, an error appears saying “photo is too small”. My camera resolution has been at the highest ever since I got the phone so its not that. Any idea why this is happening ?”
Instagram recently updated it`s version for the sake of users but the latest version bring many problems and sharing ,uploading photos is one of them. You may not be able to upload your previous old images. But don`t worry now. There is a solution available for all Instagram users. There is not a single reason that is preventing users from uploading their photos. You can try each of them if the problem persists as different phones may have different solutions .
This solution is working with Samsung Galaxy S 4G ,Droid 3,iPhone 4S,Sidekick

Solution to “Image is too short to upload”
  • Increase your Camera Resolution
First reason is the low resolution of your phone camera.Check if the resolution of your camera is low may be 320X420 or any other .Change that to  atleast 1600×1200 for proper functioning. You can check the resolution in your camera settings in the phone. Please note that you don`t have to change any settings within Instagram. If it works then leave the rest ,otherwise see the next reason.
  • Use Instagrams Advanced Camera:
Please see in your camera settings whether you have checked the option of “Use Instagrams Advanced Camera”.If you have not checked that option , do it before instagram works properly to take photos and uploading them. Here are the steps for that
>Launch Instagram > Click on the icon that looks like an ID card on the bottom right of app > Scroll down and click on “Camera Settings”.>Select, “Use Instagram’s Advanced Camera”.
  • Install the Instagram again from the site:
This could be a solution in case above two does not work.Install the Instagram from it`s official site.Different links are provided here for different smart phones use them to install the app.App Store , Google Play
  • Change the resolution to high by software:
If still problem persists then, download a app that can change the resolution of your image to high and after that change it Instagram Supportable resolution ( any high resolution ).
